Robaer.ai reads the full text of your SAFE and scores each material term — valuation cap, discount rate, pro-rata rights, MFN clause, and more — against market benchmarks derived from thousands of real funding rounds. The output is a plain-English risk report with suggested revisions where applicable.
What file formats are supported?
We accept PDF uploads, plain text paste, and Word documents (.docx). Most SAFE templates render correctly in these formats. If you have a scanned PDF or an image-based document, paste the text directly or contact support.
How long does a review take?
Most reviews complete in 60 seconds or less. Complex or multi-page agreements may take up to 2 minutes. You'll receive an email notification when the report is ready.
How accurate is the analysis?
Robaer.ai is trained on real SAFE agreements from seed through Series A rounds. Our scoring model covers standard YC-style SAFEs, SAFE-MA, and Post-Money SAFEs. For edge cases or non-standard templates, we flag uncertainty and note that a lawyer review is recommended.
Does Robaer.ai replace a lawyer?
No. Robaer.ai is a review tool, not legal advice. It identifies risks and explains terms, but it doesn't know your specific situation, your existing cap table, or your negotiation context. Use it as a first pass before engaging counsel — not as a substitute for legal review.
Which SAFE versions are supported?
Y Combinator SAFEs (pre-2018), SAFE-MA, and all Post-Money SAFEs (2018+) are fully supported. Convertible notes from standard startup templates are also analyzed. If you have a heavily customized instrument, the report will note any ambiguous terms.
How many free reviews do I get?
Every founder gets 3 free reviews. No credit card required to start. After that, pricing starts at $29/month for unlimited reviews.
Is there a limit on file size?
We accept PDFs up to 25MB. If you need to analyze a larger or batch file, contact us for enterprise options.
Is my document data kept private?
Yes. Documents are processed in memory and are not stored after the review completes. We do not use your uploaded documents for model training. See our privacy policy for full details.
Is Robaer.ai's analysis legally binding?
No. Robaer.ai provides informational analysis only. Nothing in the platform constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship. All analysis should be reviewed in conjunction with qualified legal counsel before signing any funding agreement.
